In which Charles Martin is back.

We may or may not be kind of, sort of drowning in events over here, but I thought tonight's Shelf Talk + Signing was one you really wouldn't want to miss. Thomasville's favorite author (no scientific evidence, just my general opinion) Charles Martin is back at The Bookshelf tonight at 7 p.m., and we're down to our very last few tickets, which you can buy in-store or over the phone.

Charles' new book, Long Way Gone, is all about coming home. At the age of 18, musician Cooper O’Connor took everything his father held dear and drove 1,200 miles from home to Nashville, his life riding on a six-string guitar and the bold wager that he had talent. But his wager soon proved foolish, and Charles examines the aftermath in Long Way Gone, which is already getting rave reviews from local readers.

Story time friends, we've got a special treat for you this weekend! We're moving story time to noon, and we've invited Southern author Rosalind Bunn to come read two of her spooky stories for a special story time and book signing! Introduce your kiddos to an author, and, of course, enjoy a reading and craft time with your littles. This Saturday at noon -- we hope to see you there!
